Fuzhou Delegation Went to Weinan, Xi'an to Study and Inspect

From June 24 to 25, Lin Baojin, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, led a Fuzhou delegation to study and inspect Xi'an and Weinan in Shaanxi Province. Xi'an has a long history and rich humanities. The delegation visited the West China Science and Technology Innovation Port, Qin Innovation Drive Platform, Qin Innovation Integrated Service Center, Xi'an Museum and the Grand Tang Dynasty City of Night. They said that Xi'an development adheres to "world vision, international standard and Xi'an characteristics", with a high planning position, strong innovation atmosphere, and strong officers, especially in the fields of scientific and technological innovation, industrial development, cultural tourism integration, cultural heritage protection, etc. They have created many good experiences and practices, which provide Fuzhou with new ideas, initiatives and strong impetus to speed up the construction of a modern international city. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of sister cities between Fuzhou and Weinan. In 1992, under the advocacy of Comrade Xi Jinping, then secretary of Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee, Fuzhou and Weinan established a twinning relationship, and the friendly cooperation yielded fruitful results. The delegation visited Fuping Yonghui, Fumin Friendship Primary School, Fumin Friendship Square, Pucheng Lin Zexu Memorial Hall, Pucheng Pear Experimental Demonstration Station, Luyang Lake National Wetland Park, Weinan Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, etc. Everyone frequently praised the great progress made in Weinan's economic and social development, saying that they should learn from the spirit of pioneering and persistance displayed by Weinan cadres and masses in promoting high-quality development, and make efforts to promote industry in combination with Fuzhou's reality.

During the inspection, Lin met with Zhang Jinqiu, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, master of Chinese engineering construction design, and Huang Wei, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
