K2-12 English / Math Tutor 

Or Make your Volunteer Hour

 

Do you enjoy teaching and flexible way to make Volunteer hour?

Afficient Academy  is seeking Tutors to help our students excel academically! You will provide in-person classes to 2rd-12th grade students on Math and English.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Oversee students doing self-paced computer programs in Mathematics / English and answer student’s questions via ZOOM conference

• Identify student problems and teach students the solving methods

• Prepare for the meeting ahead to go over students weak skills

• Join the meeting 8-10 minutes early. Review your lesson afterward

• Focus on student engagement, let them share and explain their thoughts and  difficulties to you. Given students’ time to talk and share.

• Keep your tone lively, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming.

• Remain in the session for the entire duration (120 minutes).

• Communicate to your center manager as needed.  Share and collect the student, parent, and manager’s feedback periodically  

 

Requirements:

• Proficient in elementary, middle, and high school level Math/English

• Will to go over and review Afficient Math/English program contents

• Good SAT/ACT scores or Afficient Academy student 

• Excellent communication skills

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Previous experience in teaching, tutoring or other related fields is a big plus

• Able to build a good relationship with students

• Mature and strong sense of responsibility

• Able to work collaboratively - a good team player

• Able to work in after-school hours and weekends (especially weekends)
