"Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road" Shines at the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo

On April 25, "Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road" made a dazzling appearance at the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo. The Fujian booth, themed around "Refreshing Fujian: Starting Point of the Maritime Silk Road", highlighted the charm of its five world cultural and natural heritage sites. Through various means such as special promotions, graphic displays, material distribution, and intangible cultural heritage performances, Fujian showcased its unique cultural and tourism resources and development trends to global exhibitors and Macao residents.

The world cultural heritage site, Yongding Tulou (earth buildings), was highlighted at the expo. Through physical models, images, and videos, the allure of Fujian's cultural tourism was presented to visitors from around the world. With distinctive architectural style and profound cultural heritage, the Hakka earth buildings attracted much attention from on-site viewers.

During the event, the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism held a special promotion session on the stage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's exhibition hall. A series of captivating performances were staged, including the Hakka toast song "Blessed Land, Blessed Wine, Good Fortune," the Tulou-themed Chinese-style dance "Ten Thousand 'Fu' Rubbings Bring Ten Thousand Blessings," and the Hakka hill song "Singing Hill Songs Beyond the Mountains, Touring Macao with Baskets in Hand," receiving rounds of applause from the audience.

The promotion session also featured a range of interactive experiences, such as the distribution of intangible cultural heritage "Fu" rubbings and the sharing of eight Hakka delicacies, attracting enthusiastic participation from many locals and tourists. The atmosphere on-site was lively, with participants taking photos and expressing a keen interest in traveling to Fujian. On the same day, Kong Lun, Deputy Director-General of the Bureau of International Exchanges and Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Cheng Wai Tong, Deputy Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office; and Cheng Ruishan, Director Assistant of the Asia Tourism Exchange Center, visited the Fujian booth and experienced its intangible cultural heritage.
