Banmei Folk Culture Park

Banmei Folk Culture Park (tentative name) is located east of Bincheng Road and south of Hengyi Road. The park is home to five ungraded immovable cultural relics - Wang Qingxiang's Residence, Shi Shirong's Residence, the Shi Family Ancestral Temple, Shi Dachun's Residence, and Banmei Ninety-Nine Rooms—as well as greening facilities.

Red-brick houses are the most representative form

As the largest Minnan-style

architectural complex in the park

With a total gross floor area of about 1,820 square meters 

Built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty

It has a history of over 300 years

And comprises 83 rooms and 16 auxiliary rooms

Backed by the Henghe Qishang building complex, just across the street from the Lohkah Hotel & Spa Xiamen, the Banmei Ninety-Nine Rooms is the most exquisite and largest surviving red-brick complex of Minnan style on Xiamen Island.

The interior exquisite craftsmanship

Featuring decorative techniques such as stone carving, brick carving, wood carving, cut porcelain carving, and clay sculpture
