Yongding Tulou Scenic Area was Awarded "2021 National Cultural Heritage Tourism Excellent Case"

On March 11, the final evaluation of "2021 National Top Ten Cultural Heritage Tourism Case Promotion Activity" was held in Beijing. The final evaluation committee, composed of 15 experts in cultural heritage, archaeology, tourism, museums and other fields, selected "2021 Top Ten Cases of National Cultural Heritage Tourism" and "2021 National Cultural Heritage Tourism Excellent Cases" through comprehensive evaluation and real-name voting.

Culture in Tulou

In order to inherit and protect the intangible cultural heritage projects and polish the honored signboard of the World Heritage Tulou, in recent years, Yongding has vigorously implemented the "Culture in Tulou" project, and invested about RMB 100 million to build and transform many intangible cultural protection and heritage sites such as architectural culture exhibition halls, according to the concept of "scene on each building, feature of different building, one theme for one building".

Intangible cultural heritage education-vivid cultural inheritance

Besides Yongding Tulou Building, Yongding also has 4 national-level intangible cultural heritage projects such as Hakka puppet show in western Fujian, 2 provincial-level intangible cultural heritage projects such as Yongding Hakka folk songs, and 38 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage projects such as Yongding Hakka family instruction culture, which is a concentrated exhibition area for Hakka farming and family education, and also an experience place for Hakka life.

"Tourism+" drives industrial development

Yongding county actively guides the rational protection and development of intangible cultural resources around Tulou, vigorously implements the "tourism+" strategy, and promotes the formation of industrial clusters integrating tourism, experience and learning with the mutual cooperation and common development of intangible cultural resources and tourist attractions.

Yongding county adopts the mode of "tourism+, Tulou+, health care+" to build a demonstration base of rural eco-tourism, which broadens the channels for villagers to increase their incomes and effectively promotes the development of rural industries.
