Stay Tuned: The Fifth Kinmen Representative Assembly of Kinmen Compatriots Association Convened in Xiang'an District

On May 24,

the Fifth Representative Assembly of Kinmen Compatriots Association in Xiang'an District

was grandly held.

On that day, 144 representatives from Kinmen gathered to review and deliberate on work reports of the Xiang’an Kinmen Compatriots Association, and to elect members of the new board of directors and supervisory committee.

Chen Chengdu was elected as President of the Board of Directors,

Zhang Yiteng as Secretary-General,

and Song Ayu as Chairman of the Supervisory Committee.

Moving forward, the Xiang'an District Kinmen Compatriots Association

will continue with full political enthusiasm

to extensively unite and mobilize compatriots from Kinmen,

contributing to the advancement of cross-strait integration and development.

The newly elected President Chen Chengdu expressed,

"We will remain committed to the principle of ‘serving compatriots and building consensus,' uniting forces from all sectors to make our association an important bridge connecting families across the Strait. At the same time, we will strengthen cultural exchanges, preserve Minnan traditions and Kinmen heritage, deepen cooperation with all walks of life in Xiang'an, provide greater support for Kinmen compatriots, actively contribute ideas and suggestions, and assist in building the cross-strait integration and development demonstration zone."

It is understood that

Xiang’an District is home to nearly 4,000 compatriots of Kinmen origin.

In recent years, the Xiang’an District Kinmen Compatriots Association has fully leveraged its unique strengths, reaching out extensively to Kinmen compatriots both at home and abroad. With a spirit of pioneering innovation and a flexible, pragmatic approach, the Association has conducted multi-channel, multi-dimensional efforts to "connect Taiwan through Kinmen and promote Taiwan through Kinmen. It has vigorously developed Kinmen-focused outreach activities and actively guided Kinmen compatriots throughout the district to contribute their due strength to deepening cross-strait exchanges and cooperation and to Xiang'an's rapid economic development.

The successful convening of the representative assembly

marks that the Xiang'an District Kinmen Compatriots Association,

under the leadership of its new executive team,

will continue to inject fresh vitality into cross-strait integration and development.
