【Global Film Industry News】Canadian-Chinese emerging director Sisi Tesser Chen Hong (known by her artist name “Princess Sisi”) has achieved another major milestone: her short film The Temporal Bracelet, which she wrote, directed, and starred in, has been officially selected for the 2025 San Diego Movie Awards (Spring Season Official Selection). The film stood out among hundreds of exceptional international submissions, further cementing Chen’s growing influence on the global independent film stage.

The San Diego Movie Awards (SDMA) is an IMDb-certified international competition that honors outstanding independent films, screenplays, and performances. Hosted at the iconic Museum of Photographic Arts in downtown San Diego’s Balboa Park, SDMA is renowned for celebrating excellence in independent cinema worldwide and providing winning films the opportunity for global distribution consideration, including collaboration with leading independent distributor IndieRights.
