子夜彌撒

然後我們驅車
去有彩色玻璃穹頂的暖房
看那株種了將近兩千年
且用人子的血灌溉過的
十字架
是否開了花

當風琴頭一個忍不住
嗚嗚哭起來的時候
我們便紛紛拿起大衣，知道
今年無論如何
是不會有希望的了

只有那個不死心的管理員
仍在那裡唸唸有辭
一邊亂灑著水

MIDNIGHT MASS

We then drove to the greenhouse
to see if the Cross was in bloom
the Cross that was planted 2000 years ago
the Cross that was once watered
with blood

When the pipe organ became the first one
to break down crying
we all picked up our coats and headed for the door
knowing it was another hopeless year

Only the stubborn caretaker refused to give up
he kept muttering something to himself
while sprinkling the air with water

LA MESSE DE MINUIT

Nous nous sommes rendus alors à la serre
Pour voir si la Croix était en fleur
La Croix qui a été plantée voici 2000 ans
La Croix qui a été arrosé un jour de sang

Quand l'orgue a éclaté, le premier en pleurs,
Nous avons tous pris nos manteaux et nous sommes dirigés vers la porte
Sachant que c'était une autre année sans espoir qui commence
Seul le gardien obstiné a refusé d'abandonner les lieux
Sans cesser de marmonner quelque chose dans sa barbe
Tout en arrosant l'air avec de l'eau.

蠕動著的好萊塢肚臍眼
給活生生吸了進去

STORY OF THE SUNNY ISLAND

During the day
they take a shade under the skyscrapers
at night
they bask their pale souls in the neon lights

It is said that the pair of eyes
wandering all afternoon
around a missing-person poster
have been sucked alive
into the whirling navel of Hollywood
on a nearby movie billboard

就這樣讓沒有焦點的眼赤裸裸
去同太陽的目光相遇

當旋風搬運秋野交叉的枝梗在你嘴角
構築一個苦笑的時候，我瞥見你的靈魂
自枯焦的鬚叢中灰鼠般竄出而又急急鑽入
你張開的口中深沉的黑暗

A PORTRAIT

so this is the way the unfocused naked eyes
meet the piercing sun

as the whirlwind busily transports twigs and stems
from the autumn field to build a bitter smile at the corner
of your mouth, I happen to catch a glimpse of your soul
dashing like a rat from the scorched beard and hastily entering
the dark silence behind your shiny teeth

刀器。修飾不情願的女兒
去赴一個安排的約會
知道她未分手便已
巴望下一次

黑暗裡
突來的靜寂，碘酒
倒在被謊言麻醉了的
傷口上。至少暫時
你不再去夢另一個夢
夢見你的手
觸著了
天

TREE TRIMMING

the outstretched hands touching
unexpectedly a cold knife
in the warm bosom
of the evening breeze.  Dressing up
the reluctant daughter for an arranged date
knowing for sure she will long for the next
before they part

a sudden silence in the dark
iodine tincture poured
over the wound that has been numbed
by lies.  At least for the time being
you won’t dream another dream
of your hands
touching the
sky

晚風柔懷裡
冰冷的

我們聽到有東西
下墜

夢中
一隻手
幾乎摸到了
