It is understood that line S1 starts from Fuzhou Station under construction to Xiangqian Station in line F1 of Changle Airport intercity rail, passes through Southeast Auto City and Fuqing urban area, and ends at Fuqing Station. The total length of the line is about 35 kilometers, with 10 stations, including about 19 kilometers in Fuqing City and 5 stations. The line is reserved to extend to Binhai New Town, Longgao Peninsula and Jiangyin island in the later stage.
At present, line S1 has been incorporated into the urban rail transit network planning of Fuzhou. The Provincial Department of Housing and Urban rural Development has held a technical review meeting and approved the network planning scheme in principle. At present, according to the opinions of experts and participating units, Fuzhou Metro Group has organized the enterprises to supplement and improve the line network planning scheme, and has submitted it to Fuzhou municipal government for pre-approval publicity of the line network planning. Next, Fuzhou Metro Group will further modify and improve the construction planning text and supporting documents based on the determination of online network planning, and is expected to report to the national development and Reform Commission for approval in the second half of this year.
