The First Batch of Wind Turbine Blades Exported from Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port This Year

On May 14, the “Transvalor Hope” ship loaded with eight wind power blades left Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port for Europe. This is the first batch of wind power blades exported from Jiangyin Port Area this year.

This batch of wind turbine blades is produced by LM Wind Turbine Blade Products (Fujian) Co., Ltd. in the Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park. The single blade is 108 meters long and weighs 107 tons. In Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port, the engineering vehicle carrying high-power wind blades slowly moved forward from the wind energy distribution center, and after reaching the front of the wharf, it was lifted onto the ship by two 500-ton crawler cranes.

In order to ensure the efficient transportation of equipment, Fuqing border inspection station launched customized services. Under the condition of fixed loading and unloading capacity of a single batch, the working time of a single ship at port was reduced from 72 hours to 48 hours, and the working efficiency was improved by 33%. At the same time, the station has organized police to conduct on-site surveys at the dock for many times, optimized the supervision mode, and sent more police on duty to carry out safety maintenance beside the ship to ensure the smooth boarding of wind turbine blades and reduce the time of the ship at port. Through online declaration and appointment processing, we will strengthen communication and cooperation with ship owners, shipping agents and other units, and handle border inspection procedures in a “one-stop” manner, so as to help enterprises improve their efficiency to the maximum extent and optimize the business environment of ports with practical actions.

The relevant person in charge of Fuzhou Maritime Safety Administration said that the maritime department set up a special support team to carry out comprehensive and detailed verification on the seaworthiness of the ship, the binding and fastening of goods and the navigation plan, and jointly formulate personalized transportation plans with the ship’s owner and the cargo owner; Through the service mode of “booking” and “no waiting”, the ship’s entry and exit procedures can be handled quickly online, and special personnel will be arranged to guide the declaration, which will shorten the examination and approval time and ensure the ship’s efficient departure. At the same time, VTS and intelligent maritime system are used to dynamically monitor the ship for 24 hours, coordinate the on-site escort of sea patrol boats in key segments, maintain channel order and prevent navigation risks.

In recent years, Fujian Province has continued to promote the development of offshore wind power industry. Fujian Three Gorges Offshore Wind Power Industrial Park has formed a complete production pattern of wind turbines, wind turbine structural parts, wind turbine assembly and blade production. Jiangyin Port Area of Fuzhou Port has opened the wind energy distribution center, and built a one-stop service platform for all products of the wind power industry chain covering towers, blades, mainframes and related accessories to help the development of the wind energy industry. Since December 2022, 28 batches of 223 blades have been sold overseas.
