As the "protagonists" of this quality reading meeting, Zou Liangneng and Wang Shaoxin shared their creative experiences with the guests respectively.

Writer Zou Liangneng is a doctor, professor and a native poet of Xiang'an. This time, his new book Running to the Sea is composed of an inscription by academician Zhong Nanshan and a preface by Academician Wang Chen. It is divided into seven chapters, including "holding armor in white clothes", "life is like poetry" and "sunset and the sea", with a total of 125 poems. As a native of Xiang'an, Wang Shaoxin's new book, People who only Fish for Time, takes the scenery of Liuwudian as the theme. In the book, the cobblestone streets, shelter docks, docks and other plants of Liuwudian can be seen everywhere. Wang Shaoxin said, "with the development of Xiang'an, earth-shaking changes have taken place in Liuwudian. I want to retain this nostalgia through some words and pictures."

At the reading meeting, Tan Yihai, chairman of Siming District writers' Association, He Qingzi, vice chairman of Tong'an District writers' Association, and Su Yao, President of Aotou Culture Promotion Association commented on the poetry anthologies of the two poets. The guests also appreciated the poetry anthologies and exchanged their comments.

Then, the guests selected some poems for recitation. At the scene, the poet wore ancient Chinese clothes and recited poems with Guzheng music. Songs, dance performances and the Song Dynasty tea ordering skills were also seen at the scene. After the reading meeting, everyone visited the Huaiyuan lake, village history museum and overseas Chinese history museum nearby under the guidance of the host.

It is worth mentioning that Zou Liangneng and Wang Shaoxin presented five copies of the first works to Xiang'an District Library, and Zhang Shengfeng, the director of Xiang'an District Library, issued a collection certificate for the two poets.

In an old-fashioned Southern Fujian courtyard dwelling with red tiles and white-stone walls, hard mountain roofs, double upturned swallowtail ridges, and, urban writers and poets gathered together to read and write poems, close to nature.

Cai Weixuan, chairman of the district writers' Association, said that the original intention of the district writers' Association and the district library was to build a platform for the members of the district writers' Association to display new works, on the one hand, and to advocate universal reading. In addition, the new book reading association will enter Xiang'an scenic spots and introduce Xiang'an's tourist attractions and cultural bases to the city in a higher form.

According to Zhang Shengfeng, the director of Xiang'an District Library, this poetry reading meeting is one of the series of activities of "reading the works of local writers" organized by the District Library and the district Writers Association. Next, the two sides will continue to hold similar reading meetings, continue to promote the works of Xiang'an local writers, integrate poetry and literature into Xiang'an Rural ancient houses and beautiful scenery, actively create the brand of "Xiang'an tourism map" and carry out tourism promotion in reading.
