Fuqing Futong Avenue is to Be Opened to Traffic before the Spring Festival

As an important transportation project connecting the two sides of Longjiang River in Fuqing, the construction of Futong Avenue has always attracted much attention. On January12, the reporter was informed that the road project has now entered the stage of paving asphalt, and it is expected to be opened for trial operation before the Spring Festival.

Futong Avenue (from Qingsheng Avenue to Chuangye Avenue) starts at Qingsheng Avenue and ends at Weiyi Road, with a total investment of RMB 260 million, a total length of 760m, two-way four lanes and a designed driving speed of 40 km/h. Among them, the Futong Bridge across Longjiang River is 447m long, and there are 4 pedestrian bridges and 2 non-motor vehicle bridges on both sides of the main bridge.

It is reported that the shape of Futong Bridge is positioned as the “Eye of the Dragon”, and the arch structure and decorative components of the bridge are formed by abstract design, which makes the whole shape vivid like a pair of blinking eyes. On both sides of the bridge, an arc-shaped viewing platform and the main arch form the “bright eyes” of Longjiang, and footbridges are set on both sides of Longjiang to lead to the lower park, connecting the space above and below the bridge.

After the completion of Futong Bridge, it will help the development of Guanyinpu area and further strengthen the connection between the main city and Guanxi New District. Add another landmark building to Fuqing to further enhance the charm of the city.
