毕丽俊，英籍华人。1989年在澳大利亚攻读计算机科学博士学位时，结识了罗斯·帕特森博士。之后两人先后来英国在帝国理工大学工作，并于1991年结婚。从此之后，罗斯·帕特森一直在英国大学里工作。 毕丽俊女士一直在几家英美企业做高级软件工程师。 直到2018年，她全部放弃了高薪的职业，追求儿时艺术家的梦想， 建立了奥布里亚舞蹈工作室并担任艺术总监。她现在是英中民族舞蹈交流协会会长，同时担任英国中华总商会副主席兼副秘书长，致力于促进中英两国文化贸易交流。
Ms. Bi Lijun is a British Chinese. In 1989, she met Dr. Ross Paterson while studying for her PhD in computer science at the University of Queensland, Australia. After that, the two came to the UK to work at Imperial College London and married in 1991. Since then, Dr. Ross Paterson has worked at universities and Ms. Bi Lijun has worked as a senior software engineer in several British and American companies. In 2018, she gave up her high-paying jobs entirely to pursue her childhood dream of being an artist, and established the Aubretia Dance Studio as the artistic director. She is now the Chairman of UK-China National Dance Exchange Association (UKCNDEA), and also the Vice Chairman and Deputy Secretary General of UK Chinese Business Association (UKCBA), promoting cultural and business exchanges between the UK and China.

第二百三十二期：金玉良缘
一说到金玉良缘，那就一定会提到到宝玉和宝钗。宝玉指宝贵的玉，而宝钗指宝贵的金属头饰。其实，金和玉这两种东西都是富贵人家的平常之物，怎么会和婚姻联系在一起？可知这金和玉原本指来历不寻常的金和玉。
在故事中，薜夫人一到贾府就认真地说，这金是高僧给的，日后有玉的才可相配。可巧贾府的宝玉正好有一块来历奇特的玉，于是在贾府人心里，金玉良缘由此而来。
但是，这是贾府的人自作多情，一厢情愿的想法。人们都自认为自己的儿子孙子是宝，贾府的人就自然而然地认为宝玉是宝贵的，这是天下父母的常见心理。宝钗的妈妈宣布，我们的金可是有宝才能够匹配。这个金指的就是宝钗，这便有了金玉良缘的说法。
这个成语出自中国清代古典小说《红楼梦》第五回，作者是曹雪芹：“都道是金玉良缘，俺只念木石前盟。”原指符合封建秩序的姻缘。后泛指美好的姻缘。

When one speaks of gold and jade, it‘s important to mention Baoyu and Baochai. Baoyu means ‘precious jade’, and Baochai means ‘precious metal headdress’.
In a story, Mrs. Xue, Baochai’s mother, arrived at the house of Jia. She said with seriousness that the gold she had was given her by a monk, and could only be complemented by jade of equally unusual origin. It was a coincidence that at that time Bao Yu had such a piece of jade. Therefore, in the hearts of the people in the house of Jia, the marriage of gold and jade came from this.
However, this was the wishful thinking of the people of Jia house. Parents naturally think that their sons and daughters are treasures, and it was natural for the elders of the Jia House to think that Baoyu was precious. Baochai's mother similarly declared that "Our Baochai can only be matched by similarly precious jade." So in this story, the gold refers to Baochai and jade to Baoyu, which gave rise to the saying: The marriage of gold and jade.
The story of the marriage of gold and jade has come from the fifth chapter of the classic Chinese novel “Dream of the Red Chamber” from the Qing dynasty, by Cao Xueqin.
Originally, it referred to a marriage that conformed to the feudal order, later, it came to refer to a good marriage in general.
